Yoga

First day of yoga class, check.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was a bit intimidated at first, but remembering that I joined a beginner's class there was no expectation to be limber on the first day. There were just ten of us, a good number since we had enough space to fall flat on our faces when the poses got tricky. I learned that balancing on one leg makes me liable to fall over and knock several front teeth out. Great thing to remember that. Must.not.fall.over.ever. My left side is more limber (since I am a rightie I find that very odd) and my big belly tends to get in the way when I bend over (thus making it hard to breathe normallly which is apparently a must in yoga). I am better when the poses are done lying done, and I find it hard to balance when my legs are spread apart when standing up.

I feel streeeetched, and this is just the first day. There was a point when a girl sneezed while balancing and promptly fell over. So, must not sneeze while balancing, will fall over.

I did not think about work the whole time as I was trying very hard not to knock out my teeth, which is a good thing. It was easy to relax (whilst at the same time very hard to balance) specially since the teacher had a calm soothing voice (exactly like when you watch tv and there's a pretend hypnotist trying to make someone remember a memory from ther subconscious).

Since it warranted a blog entry, all in all it was a good session. I will definitely go back for more.
